Operations
At peak production, Kangra’s operations produce over 1.4 million tons annually. The mine's remaining life, including new developments, is over 20 years.
With both Udumo and Balgarthen A in production, more focus will be placed on potential opencast areas that will be mined soon. The Udumo and Balgarthen A Adits are integral components of the Kusipongo resource, situated west of Kangra's mining operations. This resource holds a coal reserve of approximately 41.9 million tons, possibly extending the mine's lifespan by another two decades or more.
